2 Years of STO
Captain's Blog Stardate 89686.78
This week marks the 2 year anniversary of Star Trek Online and the release of two new flagships. The Odyssey Class Starship for the Federation and the Bortas Class Starship for the KDF. Both seem like amazing ships and I cannot wait to get my hands on them. Both will be give away for free for a limited time during the Anniversary event (from the 2nd to the 6th).
These free versions of the ship won't have any special abilities (that'll probably come later on with a C-Store edition of this ship) but at least you can say you own one. They are the flagships of the Federation afterall.
Of course Q will be present during this time and giving out rewards for doing things for him. My guess is there will be a few small "daily" missions to complete on Earth Space Dock and Qo'noS. They'll reward different things, although I hope it isn't random grab bag stuff like during the winter event.
I'm really looking forward to this event (even though the 1 year anniversary came with a lot of problems). I wont' get into details but people complained about the way rewards were given out. Lets just hope Cryptic learned their lesson and that this event won't be a problem.
Question: If you get this free flagship and then a C-Store version comes out with special abilities, will you buy it?

How does one aquire such ships...knowing Cryptic.....you have to do something to get it.

The only information I have seen says that we will be able to test drive one of these ships. That will allow us to get the ship for free.
Worst case scenario: we have a small short mission to perform.
