Alpha Review
Captain's Blog Stardate 89879.85
This past week was Klingon awareness week. It is a community driven event to promote the KDF faction and get more people to play it. Cryptic released a whole new episode for the KDF called Alpha. Like many of you, I logged into my KDF character and played it. Let me start by saying that the ground map was amazing. It looked like an actual jungle which you had to find your way around.
The story for it was good and had some twists to it which were unexpected (did anyone really expect a Romulan?). I also like that there were options (such as taking or leaving the Romulan behind) and what you did effected how the mission ended. You can tell that Cryptic has put time into this mission and made it as good as a featured episode.
I really can't complain too much about this mission. A part of me wishes they included a guide path (as they did in other missions) to help you navigate the jungle, but at the same time it was fun exploring and trying to find your way around without help.
I hope to see more KDF only missions in the future (especially for the first 18 levels). If this is a sign of things to come then maybe soon we'll have a Klingon faction that is fully fleshed out and on par with the Federation faction.

I enjoyed the mission so much I did another KDF mission ("Blood of the Empire") just to see if it was as good. I liked them both, and both missions gave rewards worth having. Good mission --Good rewards - Can't beat that with a stick (or a Bat'leth).
