Ask Cryptic and Regent
Captain's Blog Stardate 90220.76
The latest Ask Cryptic was released this week. I must be honest, this is the first Ask Cryptic that I didn't find very interesting. A lot of the questions that have been answered were answered in the past. Still, its a good read and I do suggest checking it out.
One thing that did peek my interest was the news that Cryptic has a team working on apps for mobile devices. This could possibly mean a Duty Officer app for us, but don't get your hopes up. My guess is that we won't be seeing anything like this within the next few months. I would guess the earliest would be sometime next year.
Another piece of interesting news this week is the new Regent class variant of the Sovereign. I must admit, it is a beautiful ship. When I first saw a picture of it, I thought it was the Odyssey. After reading the blog post and seeing the second picture, I noticed the differences. They did a good job at blending the Sovereign and the Odyssey to form a new ship. I look forward to getting more information this week.

Interesting about the possibility of apps, I'd love to be able to sort out Doff assignments at times like now, lunchtime. lets hope that comes to pass.
One of the things that peaked my interest was that Tholians might attack when your fleet base gets big enough for them to be interested in...must be why I battled them the other night, our base has caught their interest!! yay!! I must admit I was shocked to face them lol Almost as much as finding Borg in the starbase incursion mission!
On to the Regent class and its appearance is timely as I have a rekindled appreciation of the Sovereign. I have absolutely fallen for my main toons Mirror Star Cruiser. As it stands its a seriously pretty ship and from what I can see from the limited pics that they have just improved it. Now....lets hope that its still released as an account unlock...and not character like the lacklustre EV suits....
