Featured Series 4 - February!

It looks like we won't be getting the next featured series until sometime in February... 3 months away. That's the bad news. The good news is that there will be other things released in between. I guess I should start from the beginning. This month is simply an entire month of replaying the previous featured episodes to get the unique/special rewards. Frankly I haven't logged into Holodeck to play them nor do I have any desire to because I have all those rewards, as do many people. If you want to know what my predictions are, skill down to the paragraph about February. December marks a decent month. First, the monthly stipend will be given out to subscribers which is a very nice gesture on Cryptic's part. I can't wait to get my first 400 C-Points! Also, as I am sure most of you know, the changes on Tribble will be brought to Holodeck during the first week of December. This is both good and bad. The reason I said bad is because many people have already tried this stuff on Tribble first and are probably already bored with it. The only reason for them to log onto Holodeck is so they can redo everything with those characters. It is good because there are people who haven't tried it yet so this is new content for them. January sounds like a slow month with content. It�s pretty much just a focus on the release of F2P on January 17. The forums and game are going to be buzzing with new players who have tons of questions. Cryptic will probably have a nice profit from the C-Store as well. Still, there won't be much for us older players to do. February is the two year anniversary for Cryptic (wow two years already!) which I am assuming will be a 1 week thing. I am going to guess that either right after that or a week later the first episode of the new series will be released. People will be going crazy (in a good way), the game will probably crash because so many people logged on, and we'll all be so happy. It is a five week long thing (1 episode per week) which means it ends sometime in March. At this point things can go one of two ways. Scenario 1: If Cryptic doesn't have new episodes or features to release then people will get bored again, start to complain, and people will leave (mostly those who are free). Scenario 2: Cryptic will have new things to release which will keep people interested, but something may happen which causes a content drought again and people will leave. As you can tell, I don't have much faith in Cryptic at the moment. Don't get me wrong, I like them and support them. I do thing they are doing the best they can and are working very hard. I just believe that have had a run of bad luck which might continue. I also believe that people just love to complain so they'll always find a reason to bash Cryptic.
