Random STO Stuff
Captain's Blog Stardate 88918.24
Well I won't lie, I had a little trouble coming up with this week's topic. There really hasn't been any outstanding STO news lately. The Oberth class tier 1 science vessel was released, and ummm that's about it... Before I get into anything let me just say that the poll for the STO Academy's first series was a success. We had over 100 voters who helped to decide which enemy will be a part of our very first mission series. The winner? You guys voted for a whole new enemy so that's what I'll give you. The first episode will be released during the first week of May and will be available for both Klingons and Federation players. There will be some slight differences between the two factions, but the story is the same. I'll also be opening up discussions so people can leave feedback and talk about what will happen in Episode 2. Stay tuned. Now on to actual STO matters. I mentioned about the Oberth being released, so I don't need to get into that again. Here is something. We have a new daily mission in the game. You can get a reward for playing through three foundry missions that you haven't played before. Its actually a good incentive to get us to play the foundry missions. The community is very creative so you should check out some of their missions. On a different note, if you guys haven't seen this already, here is a screenshot of the Klingon Academy being designed http://t.co/X2mW8XD. Sadly, I think that's it. Let me know what you guys think about the Foundry and some of the missions that have been released. By the way, I won't mind hearing about how excited you are for the STO Academy missions =P lol. Take care! Captain Attilio, out.Written by Attilio on April 24, 2011 at 10:36 pm

Skill Points, BO Skill Points, and merits that change with your level. As well as an item or I think its currency which is also based on your level.

I tried the foundry daily missions and enjoyed them very much. I don't remember the exact reward for completing the three missions, but it included a choice of an unspecified "level appropriate" item or three medals. I took the medals. Next time, I think I'll try the mystery item.

If you haven't done so already, check out the Jem'Hadar alliance series that was done with the Foundry. Its pretty good. When you play the first episode it'll tell you that there is a prelude mission you should place first. I don't remember the name but make sure you play it.
