Return of the Wonderland

Captain's Blog Stardate 93534.24

You better watch out. You better not cry. You better not pout. I'm telling you why. Santa Q is coming to STO! You'd think after all this time I'd run out of ways to start my yearly blog about Q's Winter Wonderland, but no. It's too important to pass up.

First of all, how does Cryptic keep coming up with ideas for winter weapons? I always think they've thought of it all and then they come up with something new. Caramel weapons?! What?! I'd hate to see something like that in real life. It would be sticky and gross... and kind of yummy.

Maybe one of you can answer this question. Why is it that shooting snowmen never gets old? All I want to do is huddle up by the Snowman army and watching them fall one by one while listening to Christmas music. It's a little twisted if you think about it. A Vulcan killing snowmen with turrets, a snow blower, Christmas music, and laughing about it. Muahahaha! I know I'm not the only one.

So I just have one tiny complaint. The Gingerbread village is pretty cool, but where are all the Ginger-people? There's like five walking around and that's it! Who lives in all of those houses? I think it's just a front. There's something fishy about it. I think they should add more villagers to make it feel like there's actually life here and not just some random place that gets attacked.

You know the drill. Leave your thoughts below!

I like this year's addition to the Winter Wonderland. The Village is nice and the Snowconian is just awesome.

However, once again, I think Cryptic forget to deactivate all speed-related Buffs in the Winter Wonderland. I still can use my Counter-Command Exo Armor and dominate "The Fast and the Flurrious with my temporary +25% Speed after rolls. That needs to go.

I really love all these devices that help fight Snowmen. That said, I think it is time for a Winter Wonderland Kit. No special buffs, just the place to slot all these devices, so that you can still equip Frozen Boots and/or the Winter Tribble etc. etc.

This is my second winter event and I really love it! More than the summer event anyway (probably an unpopular opinion?)

My only gripe is that I still can't find the damned eggs! I'm sure it'll get resolved with an up-date - but it's still annoying.

I think TacPaddy's idea about the Winter Wonderland kit is really cool, I'd like to see that too.

Oh, and a few more tricks would be nice when Ice Skating :) I still get a kick out of doing a back flip over the evil snow overlord when he tumbles!

The eggs I found by leaving the Wonderland after getting all the other ingredients and then coming back. Maybe try that, see if it helps.
