Romulan Faction
Captain's Blog Stardate 90833.52
Well it's official, we are getting a Romulan faction. Not only that, but the KDF faction will be complete as well. Who else is excited? If you haven't seen the webpage for it yet, visit http://sto.perfectworld.com/legacyofromulus. I believe that the most important things coming from this update are 3 complete factions. Players will be able to start that game in any faction, play through a tutorial and levels 1-50. We'll finally have what players have been wanting for a long time.
Not only that but there are some new interesting features and changes coming. First of all, there will be a Tholian reputation added to the game. New reputations are always a great way to improve your character. Traits are being completely revamped. According to the site, we'll be able to customize and rearrange traits as well as unlock advanced ones to continue improving your character. Also, the UI is getting a revamp. From what I understand, we'll be able to choose from a variety of color palettes which I feel is important so players can cusotmize their experience a bit more.
Of course that's not all. There is also a screenshot of the new character creator screen. It looks much cleaner than what we currently have so I'm looking forward to that. All these details and even a trailer can be found on the webpage I linked to above. According to Cryptic, it will be released on May 21st. Personally, I hope they don't change this date. Cryptic does have a history of pushing updates to a later date because they aren't complete. I'm perfectly fine with that because I'd rather have something that is working later on than something that is completely broken right now. However, I feel that if Cryptic is going to give this date so clearly, the should honor it.

I'm excited about the UI revamp. People have told me, that they don't play as a Klingon, because they don't like the red. I guess, that is about to change. :)

Wow that is so funny. I dont use my klingons as much because of the red colour but i did not know i was not the only one. This game slowly improves...

Since I have just joined the academy,it seems kind of odd to have the Romulan empire as part of the federation but,we are to go boldy were no one has gone before....

Yea, the Klingon red is a little much sometime... If I'm on that toon too much, I beat the dog and kick the wife... LOL
