Romulan or True Way
Captain's Blog Stardate 88612.18
Well it is the new year and it has been a while since the last featured series was released. We've battled the Breen to save the Defari. We've traveled back in time to stop the Devidians. What next? So far there has been speculation that the next enemy will be either the Romulans or the True Way. There is very little evidence for both: For those of you who can't access the Captain's Table, there has been a hint given there that something will be happening with the Romulans. Not a lot of information is given though. Some people believe the True Way will be the next enemy because of the big roll they played during the Devidian series. What do I think? I have a feeling it will be the Romulans. They seem more like the ones to cause trouble. Let me know who you think the next enemy will be, and any other thoughts you have on the next featured series. UPDATE: Dan Stahl just posted this on the STO forums "Feature Episode Series 3 Starts this month! (featuring the _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _)". Probably Romulans, but I would rather fight Ferengi :)

I wouldn't expect Ferengi. Based on the STO storyline we have an alliance with them, or a trade-pact. I don't remember which one it was. Basically we are on friendly terms so odds are we won't see them as an enemy.

I see it being a Rom story too. Maybe they could toss in a few of the parasites from TOS Operation: Annihilate.

If you want to fight Ferengis, maybe we can face the ones from the alternate reality. The Ferengis there could be like Klingons :P

ViceAdm.Desaz, that's actually an interesting idea considering the fact that I don't think we've ever seen a Ferengi in the mirrior universe

Romulans arent the most likely to cause noticable trouble. Any true trekkie can tell you the romulans are covert. They will cause trouble but prefer to make it look like someone else did it. The true way are very direct.
Though its worth mentioning that Breen and Tholians should be the next "enemies" to face, but shouldnt replace the higher ups. Borg followed by species 8472 (the name undine sucks!) should be the final tier enemies.
And yes, I know the breen are in it now, but they arent breen... they are klingons in breen-look-a-like suits. Anyone who knows anything about star trek can tell you the breen dont say much at all. They dont brag like thot-fock does.

This is an old post. The third featured series was Romulan. The fourth one (which is the one we are doing now) is Dominion.
