Season 4 First Look
Captain's Blog Stardate 89071.41
I really hope you checked out Season 4 on Tribble because it has a lot of new things going on. First of all I need to speak about my favorite update. Qo'noS is completely different for the Klingons. It is now called the First City and... it looks like a city. You start off beaming into a transporter room and then exit into a city filled with markets, back alleys, a Targ pit, and so much more. It is truly remarkable and easy to get lost in. I will admit that I was a bit overwhelmed at first and I still don't know where everything is. The nice addition is that the shipyard is actually a space station around the planet which you can either beam to from the surface or from around the planet. This week I will be definitely putting up a video about this. Probably the most popular feature is the new ground combat system. I tested it out along with the Borg updates and both are pretty good. I'm not a huge fan of the new ground combat system. Basically you get control of where you fire your weapon by moving your mouse cursor. This allows for you to miss shots and attack anyone you want without having to lock on using the Tab key. If you have grenades you can now throw them anywhere. The system is very good, but I don't think I would be using it much. The new Borg on the other hand are... well they are the Borg. They can now adapt to your weapons after roughly 3 or 4 shots and the only way to defeat them is with a remodulator (which you can get for free in your replicator). Once a Borg has adapted you have to use the remodulator in order to continue doing damage. They can also assimilate you which causes the camera to get all weird (which looks awesome by the way) and from what I understand you will attack your allies. Unfortunately when I tested it there were some bugs and I haven't had a chance to test it yet. As soon as I'm satisfied I'll be putting up a video of the ground combat and the new Borg. All in all, Season 4 is looking great. I can't wait to test out the Duty Officer system when its opened up to us. I hope you guys have some thoughts about Season 4 because I'd love to hear it! SUPPLEMENTAL: There is now a review of the new Qo'noS on our Youtube Channel.Written by Attilio on June 19, 2011 at 10:11 pm

That's really cool. I'm glad the Borg are finally acting the way they should be.

I like the fact that the Borg are more menacing but they adapt to weapons way to quickly and you can only change out weapons in a noncombat state(two types are just not enough). My wish is that, they won't adapt within 30sec (Borg weapons that take valor to buy are exempt from adaptation).

Fisher, you need to get a weapon remodulator ( I believe that's what its called) from your replicator. Using that when they adapt will allow you to keep doing damage.
