Season 7 Rumors
Captain's Blog Stardate 90277.89
So let's talk Season 7 rumors, shall we? The best place to start is with some facts (ok facts aren't rumors, but we're getting to that). We know that there will be a whole new sector added called the Azure Nebula and that Tholians will be a part of some new episodes in order to continue the STO story. We know that the fleets will get a new holding, and there will be some sort of personal advancement system.
From recent screenshots posted on the Star Trek Online site as well as Ask Cryptics that I have read, this new Fleet Holding will be in the Azure Nebula and could very well be a Starfleet outpost in a Romulan colony, or perhaps the Romulan colony itself. Remember, the Romulans are somewhat divided at this point since their home world was destroyed. It is very possible that Cryptic will work in a plot where some Romulans are aligning themselves with the Federation. In any case, we can safely assume that the new episodes will include Tholians, Romulans, and probably the Iconian story.
Now as for this personal advancement system, it could be some sort of reputation system. My guess is that it will work similar to the fleet advancement system, except for each player. No, I don't think that we will get our own starbases. Frankly, I believe that is highly unlikely. If anything it might be a way to improve our ship interiors, get new equipment/ships, maybe even new uniforms, and anything that could improve a player. It could also include the an increase of the level cap which would be great. Details haven't come out yet so I'm just speculating here.
As we get closer to the end of the year we'll learn more about Season 7. My guess is that it will be released around November. Until then, let's hear what rumors you may have heard. Anything you would like to see in Season 7?

Sounds like good data. I'm not sure how the fleet advancement system will work. I'm also not sure how they would raise the level cap, as people have been spending long hours getting XII gear, and I would assume level 55, etc gear would be XIII or higher?
Anyway, I have been collecting rumors here on our forums:

I would like to be able to reach full Admiral status, so I can promote my commanders to Captain status.
Also, it would be nice to tone down the Tholians a bit, as I have thrown just about everything and the kitchen sink at them and have a heluva time advancing. Maybe adding more respawn points would be helpful as as well as the ability to actually clean out a sector without tons more beaming in. It makes the whole mission boring as hell to fight all the time and never really reach a goal of wiping them out. There aren't any support fleet ships on orbit of the planet, so there shouldn't be more just appearing out of this air.
Just My Thoughts........

@Vice Admiral James T. Kirk, II
Are you talking about the Tholian invasion zone? I actually found that pretty easy. Playing by yourself you are only supposed to be able to complete the Easy missions, but I have been able to do both Easy and Medium on my own.

I just want the Klingons to become on par and equal to Starfleet in content. The Fek'Ihri missions need to be re-done and remastered from top to bottom, we need more missions to justify starting at beginner level than at Commander, and actual uniform and costume items seen in the series need to be implemented with off-duty options. Worf needs his appearance fixed, and I personally want the full Klingon overcoats worn by many NPC captains to be made available.

I would like missions for away team at VA, I mean from cryptic, relating to any story, just relying in players using foundry kind of sucks, maybe when they get the reward wrapper to work. I've read about changes to kit skills, saying they would be 1 skill kit... WTF, that really isnt wise, maybe havin customizable kit would be cool if done right. also would be nice to get a fix on the match system for pvp since I have observed what I think must be bugs. PVP is actually fun, and deserves an expansion.

I think it would be nice to have an incentive for doing the klingon side like getting a rare klingon bridge officer or something.

The new Fleet Holding is the Fleet Embassy: Dstahl: The next major update (Season 7) will be adding a Fleet Embassy which will focus on Diplomacy and Recruiting tracks and will require some Diplomatic efforts in exchange for some cool new rewards. The Embassy will be on the new Romulan colony. In the future we will consider branching out into the type of iPvP resource game you describe.

According to the latest Ask Cryptic, the Starbase Hangar will also be a new fleet holding.
