Star Trek
Captain's Blog Stardate 88592.79
This week I would like to take a step away from STO and talk about Star Trek in general. As we all know, ever since its creation in 1966, Star Trek has been growing in popularity and has become a culture. Movies, TV shows, books, games, comics, and more have all come from one simple idea of traveling the stars. I would love to know what draws you to Star Trek? Is it the characters? The adventures? The ships? For me, I love the idea of exploring space and the unknown. Meeting new and strange obstacles and trying to overcome them.Written by Attilio on December 26, 2010 at 10:45 pm

Hi Attilio, very nice site.
For me I guess it's a bit of everything. Plus the fact that Star Trek offers a future full of hope and opportunity. Seems like a place we'd enjoy living in :)

I think my own reasons are similar to your own. Star Trek appeals to the explorer in me, and I love the tales of exploration it tells.

Captain K.C. Thank you, I'm glad you like the site. That is a good point you made. Star Trek shows Earth and humanity as a peaceful planet where everyone is happy. That's something we all look forward to.

Yes what Attilio said but also I grew up on the TOS and was so different compared to all the other TV shows (3 networks then). Each episode had some story to tell even if it seems a bit cheesy by todays standards.
