Delta Flyer and More

Captain's Blog Stardate 88841.79

This past Friday we received some nice new updates to Star Trek Online as well as a few additions to the C-Store. Overall I'm fairly content with what happened this week. First of all, the Delta Flyer is now craft-able! I'm so happy. For those of you who don't know, the mission involves collecting shuttle data by scanning anomalies. You need to collect 12 shuttle data every day for 10 days. Since it hasn't been 10 days yet I don't know exactly how the crafting takes place, but rest assured I'll let you know when I do it. Another nice update is the additions to the C-Store. There are some nice TOS costumes as well as a TOS pack which includes a lot of nice features such as the TOS pistol and another shuttle. Looks like we'll be seeing a lot more TOS players out there. The best part of all this, TOS INTERIOR!! Its finally here and its amazing. There are some nice features with it, such as opening blast covers to look outside windows, a jefferies tube to travel through the station, and of course the famous TOS bridge. Another nice feature that has been released is the ability to double click on a chair and sit in it. Unfortunately you can't do this with all chairs, but its still useful. At least we don't have that "sit" button anymore. If you are interested in seeing the latest updates check out the release notes Be sure to tell me what you're most favorite addition to Star Trek Online is. I'm also interested in knowing how bought or will buy the TOS items.

Gah! Why didn't they tell us the Delta-class shuttles were craftable now? I would have made time for collecting shuttle data. :/

Also, I bought the TOS Value Pack, as it has items not otherwise purchasable in the C-Store (the shuttle and phaser). Be advised that if you don't have any ship slots available, purchasing this pack will not give you one, so you can't purchase the shuttle in-game until you have an available slot. I found that irritating, because it also keeps you from having the shuttle pet, since the shuttle pet is linked to owning the shuttle. :/

I wonder, does purchasing the Dreadnought, Garumba, or D'Kyr in the C-Store grant you a ship slot with which to use them?

I liked it all except 2 things.

1. Sick bay is bigger than engineering.

2. Everywhere on the ship is people in TOS uniforms, EXCEPT the bridge! That is annoying

As soon as I beamed onto my TOS bridge a flood of memories swept through my brain! I love it. Just one question- how do I get the pet associated with the shuttle? Every time I log into the C-store it says to claim my free item and I keep getting the Phaser. any ideas?

I'm pretty sure you have to get the shuttle from the shuttle requisitions officer at Earth Space Dock (or any other station). So I'm assuming when you get that shuttle it'll give you the pet as well.

No body really know anything about the Flyer yet. This is day 5. I hope it is not bound so we can sell it.

johnl12, we all know about the Flyer because its been on the C-Store for almost a month. People already own it. This is just a way to get it in game without paying real money for it.

The C-Store version and the craft-able version are exactly the same. Since this is true I can guarantee that it is bound to whoever creates it. Cryptic won't allow players to sell an item that also exists in the C-Store.
