Summer 2014 Rumors
Captain's Blog Stardate 91944.47
So who's ready for the summer event? It's like a month away or something like that, I think. Anyway if you head over to the Risa resort now you can see the beginnings of it.
A whole new section has been added on the right side of the map and it's a nice expansion to the current resort. It also looks like we'll be getting surf boards and a surfing course. I assume the course will be similar to the floater course from last year.
Also, rumors are around that we'll be getting a new Risa ship similar to the one of last year but most likely with new bells and whistles.
What I'm really hoping for is an amazing interior for the Risa ships. It looks like a space cruise ship so it should have an inside to match. A really cool bridge, a pool, maybe a garden. I could just be dreaming too big but I think it would be awesome.
The summer and winter events are two of my favorites in this game. I'm looking forward to new equipment, outfits, and anything else they decide to add. In the comments let me know if you've heard any rumors about the upcoming summer event.

I do love the events as well, and am looking forward to them.
I'm of mixed options about the cruise ship. If that is a ship we would earn, then I hope it's like a Tuffi, and is not a combat themed vessel.

Looking at these Screenshots, I share Attilio's hopes for a huge unique Risian Interior. However, "official" posts like http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/showpost.php?p=14736201&postcount=24 are dampening that hope.

I'm hoping the flavours are easier to get, or I'll be spending a lot of EC for those stuff since I own a lot of toons and the huge number of items is unheard before, even for the male swinsuit there are 3 versions! (only caring about the short actually) but for women wow! even thou Cryptic fell short in the designs IMO they look too similar and not innovative at all (from a fashion pov). the hoverboards... OMG so many variations and themes! absolute awesome! add to the birds and pets we havent' seen and damn, it's gonna be a huge grindfest for favours. For the ship, yes I'm hoping a theme-park with the option of filling it with NPCs and you own boffs wearing swimsuits (maybe they should start adding uniform slots for BOFFs?)

No word on that yet. I assume they will just like the winter commodities are still used.
