Time and Tide Theories
Captain's Blog Stardate 93667.94
Star Trek Online and the STO Academy are both celebrating their 6th anniversary this year! I honestly cannot believe I've been managing this site for this long. So much has happened these past few years and so much more is going to happen! I'm looking forward to it. Speaking about looking forward, let's take a quick look at the preview "Time and Tide".
The latest episode in the new story for STO deals with time travel. Clearly the entire Iconian story line was written to lead us to this point. My hope is that Cryptic has a bigger plan for this new story and actually planned it out. Of course plans change, but having a general direction is the best way to tell a good story.
What we know so far about "Time and Tide" is that we will be travelling to the future to witness the signing of the Temporal Accords. If you recall, this played a big part in Star Trek: Enterprise, along with the Temporal Cold War. This episode also pays homage to one of the ENT episodes where Archer was brought to the future to witness the creation of the Federation. It's nice to see the STO stories being tied in to the series.
So here's my assumption. We're getting dragged into the Temporal Cold War and that's going to be a big part of the story for STO. We'll probably get to see more of the Suliban and perhaps a temporal paradox with them. They aren't a huge force in the galaxy so they side themselves with Temporal agents to strengthen their power in the past. Being defeated in the past by Archer caused them to no longer be a power in the quadrant. See the loop? With that being said, I hope the Suliban play a larger role then that have. It would be nice to see them as a playable species in the Romulan Republic.
Let's see what happens in a few days with this story! If you have any theories please share them.

I would guess we will be piloting the Krenim Science Vessel at one point during the mission.
I'm surprised the Krenim haven't been more involved in the story thus far, and I'm curious what the Pastak crew thinks about the Krenim people.

And we might have some story action on the Krenim Bridge. (Since the ship has a Krenim Bridge. And they love to make use of new bridges in the missions.)
[Or, perhaps they write missions that create the bridges, and then they use them in new ships!]

From a personal point of view I thought the mission was boring and just typical. An enemy that pops up, gets beaten and miraclously warps out/ transports out, together with a plot that explains everything when it happens rather than leaving some mystery. Not to mention some plot-holes but I put that down to Cryptic not knowing what the hell they're doing.
I thought the addition of a 3rd rate race as a "Main bad guy" so far wasn't unexpected, seeing as non of the Krenim were at the signing ( That I can recall anyway ) not to mention that one guy with a single ship seems to evade all 28th century attempts to track it.. I found it .. meh really. Reminds me of the car-crash that was the revamped Cardassian missions.
