Captain's Blog Stardate 93477.55

Updates to traits are right around the corner and it comes with some cool features and new traits. Are you ready for this?

For starters, ground and space personal traits are finally being split up. Looks like I better get ready to update the skill planner! All players will have access to 9 (10 if you're an Alien) trait slots for ground and space. That's a total of nineteen (twenty for Aliens). Oh yeah! At least we won't have to switch back and forth.

We're also receiving 4 new ground and 14 new space traits. What?! I've always felt that there were not enough space traits so it's nice to see Cryptic adding more. Although I'm sure we can expect the bonuses from them to be very minimal, but hopefully enough to be effective.

Overall it sounds very positive. I honestly cannot see a single thing wrong here. Yay! In the comments feel free to share your thoughts. Are you excited about these changes?

Ever since the Trait system was introduced we were hoping for either having the possibility to save Traits in Ship loadouts or to have them split into Space and Ground. We had this dream for about a year now and finally we get heard.

I'm so happy.

Btw, the new Traits that related to damage have been reported to be Cateogry 2, so the effect should be recognizable. ;)

This is a huge quality-of-life improvement to the game and I can't see a downside at all, except for the fact that it too this long.

I forgot to go in yesterday and update my traits! I wonder if they are blanked out till you reselect them, I'll have to check it out tonight!

It's certainly a nice addition to the game, and I wonder if this is through the (still new) leadership of Stephen Ricossa? There have been a good number of quality improvements in the game, but I don't know how long some of these things were in the works.

I would assume the Iconian arc might have been the last thing D'Angelo was working on?

Overall, I'm enjoying the game's direction.
