Winter Wonderland 2012

Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it... ahhh a giant snowman!!!

Alright if you haven't figured it out yet, this blog is about Q's Winter Wonderland. In 2011 Cryptic create this event and it was fun but there wasn't much to do. You would race around the track and that's pretty much it. I still loved the map and had fun ice skating. This year they took the same map and improved it.

Let me start by saying that I'm really impressed but there is still something that needs to be worked on. Let's start with the PvP race known as The Fast and the Flurrious. It was fun the one time that I did it, but I don't think Epohh tags are for everyone. Perhaps this should reward winter commodities to everyone that participates plus a first, second, and third place prize. Still, it is a fun race.

Speaking of races, the old track is still here so you can race against the computer. Last year this gave us winter commodities but this year it primarily gives us Q's Autograph. If you have 1000 of them then you can turn them in for a Breen ship. Again, this race should also give winter commodities as a reward. Other than that, it's the same track as last year and I still have fun on it.

Next we have the attack of the killer snowmen (ok that's not the name but I like to call it that). This has to be my most favorite event on the map. Every half hour the snowmen come to life and you have 15 minutes to beat them all. Then a giant snowman appears at the lake and everyone needs to beat him as well. How to beat snowmen? Throw snowballs of course! They are scattered throughout the map and you can just pick them up, put them in a device slot, and throw them (at anyone).

If you don't want to throw snowballs then pick up one of those handy snowball guns and fire away! When you're done, put on a pair of frosted boots and sake on the lake. I actually enjoy doing this because Cryptic made it so much better. Now when you are skating fast and jump, you can do a trick in the air which I love.

If you haven't checked out Q's Winter Wonderland yet, then I recommend doing so, at least once. I look forward to this event being expanded next year but until then, I'm going to enjoy this! Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow!

I really like the Winter Wonderland event. I haven't tried the Fast and Flurrious race because the reward (another pet) seems to be worthless. The track for the race looks interesting, though. I used some winter commodities to buy one of the fancy Lirpas and it seems to work fairly well. Right now I'm concentrating on getting the Breen ships and Lirpas for all my toons. Once that's done,I may try some of the Mission Reruns. There are a few special rewards I don't have yet. I'm surprised that Cryptic put two such time consuming events on at the same time, but I think I'll be able to fit both of them in before they go away.

This is my first experience of Q's Winter Wonderland and what shall I say? I don't care! I LOVE IT!
Fighting those Snowmen every half hour and/or racing "The Fast and the Flurrious" 4 times an hour is fun, although I have to agree on the rewards. I, for one, don't need all those Epohh Tags. However, I find solace in the fact, that I can convert them into Gold-Pressed Latinum.

To all of you a merry Christmas and have in Q's Winter Wonderland.

I'm having a great time in the Winter Wonderland-
Skating is a blast-
I like both races, though I hope they fix the shortcut in the PVP course.
Breen ship is in progress 240 autographs done!

I heard rumors that this Thursday's patch might include making the Bat'leth available to Federation characters. (I heard rumor that it's on Tribble!)

But I haven't verified....

That would be a nice holiday present!

Honestly I would love it and perhaps I'm being a little thick headed but I can't throw my snowballs! They just sit in the device slot melting 😭😭😭
