ACCOUNT AND UPLOADING RULES
When you create an Account, you will have to create a user name. You will also be able to upload images through our Alien Races or Wallpaper pages. Your user name and these images will be visible to other users. When you choose a user name or otherwise upload an image that can be seen by other users, you must abide by the following guidelines as well as the rules of common decency. If STO Academy finds a user name or image to be offensive or improper, or believes a user name or image is or may be illegal, it may, in its sole and absolute discretion, refuse to grant you the user name or upload the image, change the user name or image, remove the user name or image, and/or suspend or terminate your use of this site. In particular, you may not use any user name or image:

(i) Belonging to another individual or entity with the intent to impersonate that individual or entity, including without limitation, impersonating any STO Academy agent or employee or any other STO Academy community user;
(ii) That incorporates vulgar language or imagery or which are otherwise offensive, defamatory, obscene, hateful, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable;
(iii) That is subject to the rights of any other person or entity without written authorization from that person or entity;
(iv) That belongs to a popular culture figure, celebrity or media personality;
(v) That is, contains, or is substantially similar to a trademark or service mark, whether registered or not, or may otherwise cause confusion;
(vi) That contains, or simulates, character nudity;
(vii) Belonging to any religious figure or deity;
(viii) Related to drugs, sex, alcohol, or criminal activity;
(ix) Comprised of gibberish (e.g., "asdlfsdoifh");
(x) Is substantially similar to, or otherwise contains or duplicates any copyrighted work or component of a copyrighted work (including, without limitation, comics, anime, movies or other video games, and any characters appearing in any of the foregoing);
(xi) Referring to pop culture icons or personas (e.g., "Spiderman," "Madonna");

You may not use a misspelling or an alternative spelling to circumvent the name restrictions listed above, nor can you have a "first" and "last" name that, when combined, violate the above name restrictions.

BLOG POSTING RULES
Any user may post a comment on the STO Academy blog. Comments that are comprised of spam, vulgar language, offensive, defamatory, obscene, hateful, or racially, ethnically, objectionable, or gibberish will be removed.

FORUM TERMS
By accessing "STO Academy Forum" (hereinafter "we", "us", "our", "STO Academy Forum", "https://forum.stoacademy.com"), you agree to be legally bound by the following terms. If you do not agree to be legally bound by all of the following terms then please do not access and/or use "STO Academy Forum". We may change these at any time and we'll do our utmost in informing you, though it would be prudent to review this regularly yourself as your continued usage of "STO Academy Forum" after changes mean you agree to be legally bound by these terms as they are updated and/or amended.

You agree not to post any abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening, sexually-orientated or any other material that may violate any laws be it of your country, the country where "STO Academy Forum" is hosted or International Law. Doing so may lead to you being immediately and permanently banned, with notification of your Internet Service Provider if deemed required by us. The IP address of all posts are recorded to aid in enforcing these conditions. You agree that "STO Academy Forum" have the right to remove, edit, move or close any topic at any time should we see fit. As a user you agree to any information you have entered to being stored in a database. While this information will not be disclosed to any third party without your consent, neither "STO Academy Forum" nor phpBB shall be held responsible for any hacking attempt that may lead to the data being compromised.
