Plan your skills, ship, equipment, bridge officers, duty officers, and traits, all in one place — no account required, and you can search other players' shared builds, browse public profiles, or fork (Refit) a build as a starting point without signing in either. Creating an account adds cloud save slots with a permanent shareable link for every build, your own public profile, and the ability to propose new content to the catalog — which is what keeps it current: signed-in players propose, and it goes live once enough others vouch for it.

STO Academy has been around in one form or another for years. It started out as STOFan, then was rebuilt and rebranded about a year in as STO Academy — stoacademy.com, with guides, tools, and walkthroughs for the game, including a build/skill planner a lot of captains had bookmarked. Running a site like that takes constant upkeep, since Star Trek Online never stops shipping new ships, gear, and abilities, and eventually that became more than one person could keep up with on their own. The site went on a much longer hiatus than anyone expected.
It's back now, rebuilt from the ground up and focused for the moment on build planning and combat log analysis, with the community-driven catalog above meaning it won't be a repeat of that same problem.
