Star Trek Online can write everything that happens in a fight to a plain text file, but that file is thousands of lines long and impossible to read by eye. The Combat Log Reader turns it into something you can act on. It works out your damage per second across the fight, your peak DPS, and your critical hit rate, then breaks your damage and healing down by ability so you can see which weapons, powers, and traits are actually carrying your build and which are barely contributing. If the log includes damage you took, it repeats the same kind of breakdown for incoming damage, so you can see what is hurting you most.
The file is read and analyzed entirely inside your browser, and no account is needed. Nothing leaves your computer unless you choose to. If you want to show someone your results, you can create a shareable link, and you can also add a run to the community leaderboard. Both are optional.
